We said when we decided to do it that it was a trial run to see if
the world was sufficiently mature to handle a little responsibility.
Unsurprisingly (to me, anyways), it's not. No harm done :)

Yea, that's not acceptable.

I'm astounded there isn't a TracHack of some sort (plugin or patch)
to allow selective access to fields. We might still face vandalism
of the patch field, but it couldn't be nearly as annoying to deal
with as massive ticket changes were. At some point you have to trade
protection/safety for the convenience of people being able to
interact with your world.
