1.5 moving to 64 bit only

I would ask what benefit it brings, and - if there is no tangible benefit for 1.5, why are we doing it?

Additionally, there is the (admittedly very small) portion of 10.6 users that will not be able to use the app for what seems like an arbitrary decision.  If there's nothing gained from not supporting those users and the cost is simply not changing our build configurations, why are we doing it?
