[Adium-devl] Adium iPhone

Don't get me wrong ... selling the app is most likely the best way to
raise money with it. Like I said, the only reason I would expect an
iPhone Adium to be free would be because Desktop Adium is free.

When I said raise funds, I had in my mind something comparable to what
Wikipedia did to raise their $6M. (A prominent link from within the app
or on Adium's homepage asking for donations).
But yes you are right ... there seems to be no way to raise funds that
is comparable to selling.

Here's another suggestion ... it's pretty far out there ... but I'm
mentioning it anyways:

You could have two versions ... a free one and a paid one. People who
want to donate or help Adium or any other foundation can get the paid
app and those who don't can go for the free app. Of course one would
expect that almost everyone would go for the free app ... but you never
know.
