Even ignoring the "ugly" look of fixed size sites on larger windows,
they require sidewards scrolling on any window with less then the size  
they're optimized for.

I consider almost every design that forces me to scroll sidewards as  
broken.
On the dowonload page there is no need for that much information, that  
the download button has to fall of the screen
(wich is what will happen, as it is on the right side).

I like the current site, it loads really fast, it's simple and it  
looks good an almost every window size.
