Much as I like these ideas, I don't think they're appropriate for  
GSoC 2008.

The SDK is still beta and under NDA; it will not come out of beta  
until sometime in June, and we can only *hope* that it will also come  
out from under its NDA. The NDA creates a huge problem for us,  
because the GPL requires us to release our source code, but we can't  
release the source without violating the NDA (because the source  
would contain iPhone-SDK secrets).

So while I'd love to see this as a GSoC *2009* project (*if* the SDK  
is public then), I don't think we can accept it this year.
