They've published most of the protocol's documentation, some of which  
will hopefully be helpful but much of which is what we already knew.   
I may be missing it, but I don't see documentation of their voice/ 
video communications.  Alan, is there anything in here which provides  
new information on that front?

I'm hopeful that they will continue on this path towards a truly open  
protocol; it's certainly a step in the right direction.  The truly  
open solution would be for AOL to provide an open source, feature  
complete implementation of their protocol for use by clients, without  
the various restrictions which currently make it unlikely that Adium,  
as a GPL'd program, could participate, such as specifying licensure as  
'nontransferable' and requiring that the program implement certain AOL  
features.
