I agree. I think we should be conservative about small changes and bug  
fixes, since the more churn the more chance there will be a  
regression. However I think the MSNp15 switch, for example, should  
definitely be backported.

Here's a some food for thought:

Let's call our Leopard-only version of Adium 2.0. We can have 1.3 be  
small changes and fixes. When/if we switch to MSNp15, call that  
release 1.4.

A change in minimum system requirements is as good a reason as any to  
up the major version number.
