lol looks like you said 48 hours on 4/7 - it has been longer than that!  Did you (or anyone) try to directly communicate with FB about the chat system?  Perhaps they can at least clue you in on their plans, and what they might do with their chat (maybe the current system is temp, and they are working in the background on a open-protocol that is easy for third-party playing).
