[Adium-devl] Focus/What are we doing?

In terms of V/V my personal feeling is that it's just another feature rather
than THE feature (yes, I think it's a rather big deal, but there's a lot
more to IM than audio and video). The idea behind the discussion of naming
was after a discussion I had with Colin where it was suggested as a way to
emphasize that we now have it (due to the LARGE volume of requests). I
certainly don't see the need to make it the primary focus. I still feel
that the idea is to go for the best IM experience out there; v/v is simply a
matter of keeping up with the times.
As far as the issue of "why we're here", I'm here because of the community.
All of you guys as well as our users are the biggest assert we have and I
think should focus on that. It's a given that new features will continue to
come mainly from our own ideas/interests since we all know that it's easier
to work on something that you have a personal desire for, but I don't feel
that this goes against the idea of "bettering the community".
