Guys, regarding v-v, are you aware Leopard is going to bring huge
improvements to QTKit? Leopard uptake may well be 70% a year from now
and 90% two years from now. Considering the trouble the people at Skype
had (and still have) getting video on the Mac, especially from
non-firewire cameras, letting the future OS do all that sounds smart.

You may need to create a special requirement, audio requires at least
10.4, video at least 10.5 or something along these lines.

QuickTime Improvements

Working with video using QuickTime has long been a strength of Mac OS X.
Now, it’s as easy to build video capture into your application as it is
to work with pre-recorded video. By using the QTKit Capture API, you can
capture video from an iSight, USB (VDC) and FireWire (IIDC) devices, and
DV cameras. The API even lets you output to multiple outputs.
