I don't understand this. isn't sending out exception logs the purpose  
of SCR?

sounds reasonable to me.

we'd need to include this in the version history, and probably post  
to the blog about it too:

	Adium X 1.0 will not have the familiar burning-duck Crash Reporter.  
Instead, we will be using Smart Crash Reports [linked]. Smart Crash  
Reports requires Tiger, which we estimate that most of our users are  
using. So if you're using Panther, you will need to locate the crash  
log and attach that to a Trac ticket. Instructions follow.

followed by instructions on finding the crash log, and a link to  
ReportingBugs.
