I disagree. We've already done a blog post announcing that 1.0 will  
have joscar; what do you think the reaction will be when we ship 1.0  
with no joscar in it?

At the very least, we'll get a bunch of tickets reporting that we  
forgot to include joscar in the 1.0 release. That's the good outcome,  
wherein we don't get bitched out as liars for promising joscar and  
then not including it.

Better to keep the userbase informed. I think we'll get a much  
smaller headache this way.
