Yes, I know about that feedback, I was present for that conversation.
I'm thinking of something in a more Apple-esque vein. The page for
Tiger is a good example.

We don't even need an odometer. Could just be a number that gets
rendered into an image at the top of the page. Maybe just an badge
that says "Over xxx,000 downloads!".

IIRC the reason it took so long is that Adam was designing it himself.
Not to say he isn't a good designer, but he doesn't do it all that
often. My recollection is that he had the initial design mapped out
fairly early, but it took him a while to get it rendered right.

I associate our old, old website with pre-X (up to 1.6.3c), the orange
site with 0.5x-0.7x, and the new blue site with 0.8x. That's just me
though. I'm an old fogey (in terms of Adium :P). Although you are too,
so *shrug*.

Who's saying we can't still make it easy to use? :) I'll bet Betts or
Lanham or any of the other insane web design people Phill Ryu could
hook us up with could make something snazzy in a couple days.
I would be interested to see what Zac thinks as far as a timeline
goes. If he thinks he could get something rolled out and not have it
affect our schedule, I say we should at least investigate it.
