New FB XMPP

this is in case somebody missed this on Facebook XMPP Developer Relations group on FB.

Hey everyone, we just opened up the new XMPP service for testing. It's available at beta.chat.facebook.com, port 5222. The only authentication mechanism currently supported is PLAIN auth after STARTTLS negotiation, but we'll be enabling DIGEST-MD5 and X-FACEBOOK-PLATFORM soon. This is intended to be a drop-in replacement for the existing Facebook XMPP service, so any behavior that deviates from the production XMPP service is technically a bug. Please report bugs in this thread, or to me directly via email at amckinley at fb.com
