Some of you may know that I am generally against sidebars. I think they are overdone, and most often a sign of lazy UI design: nobody bothered to try to think of anything else. You have an even steeper uphill battle with me when proposing to replace an existing working design with a sidebar-based design, like Skype did.

I think this one works.
