libpurple in 1.4 and 1.3 sources does not build on Snow Leopard. Due to a
ridiculously limited pool of available time, it's on the way backburner of
"things that might be cool to do someday" given that 1.5 will have a
better/newer build system, and 1.4 could potentially grab it for 1.4.1.
