	Even by the most gifted genius, learning to ship a software product  
all the way from scratch (read, not even knowing how to code to begin  
with) is not something that can be done in a single summer.

	Not pretending to speak officially for the Adium project in any way,  
I think you're mixing two completely different things. One thing is  
opening the doors to motivated contributors, however novice they might  
be, which I wouldn't know to what extent Adium has done, but I'd say  
"they have", if I had my pic; another thing, and a rather  
irresponsible one if I may add, is accepting a novice for a paid-for  
contract, with all the bells and whistles, evaluations, delivery  
datelines, etc. I am most certain anyone would be able to tell you the  
outcome of that, however gifted and/or motivated the student might be.  
And this is precisely what we're trying to say in this thread.
