I think you're unfortunately right. If anyone of the team does feel  
like he could do a good job mentoring this summer, speak up... we can,  
as Augie suggests, accept applications -- I propose with no officially  
suggested projects, just let people have a shot at really wowing us  
with a cool and doable idea -- and be prepared to hand our 1 or 2  
requested spots to libpurple if we don't get anything awesome.
