Randomness aside, there is one reason a user would have to fool with 
the logs -- to dig in them to remove pictures and such.  But that 
isn't a "normal" thing IMO - it's something that needs to be 
addressed in Adium (settings to prevent such storage in the first 
place, and tools to remove them once there).
