Hence the talk of only converting 1.4 history, and removing the  
Libpurple binary and keeping it separate.

On Growl, I was originally going to have a more distributed model, but  
we're all (including myself) just too used to centralized development,  
so I scaled that way back and created a central repository.

I recommend we have a central repository as well.
