+1, converting a single branch probably means you can just use hg
convert on trunk only and call it good.

Repo size. In my experience, cvs2svn'ed repositories are already less
than ideal when converted to svn, and then the subsequent conversion
to hg makes it worse.
Also, I'm not really sure why you'd want history going back to the bad-
old-days of Adium 1.x. In any case, we can try it both ways and see
how beefy the repo is.
