What's wrong with fixed width? Honestly, there are so many sites out
there with fixed width. To me, it makes sense. People are more ready
to read narrower columns and as we have more and more people
converting from Windows to OS X, those people are bringing the full-
screen philosophy over. Can I point out how ridiculous it is to cater
to someone who has their browser window filling their 24" iMac's
display? Take a look at the sites you frequent: apple.com,
technorati.com, boingboing.net, daringfireball.com are all fixed
width, to a greater or lesser extent. What's wrong with us doing the
same?

I had this issue earlier this year as I was producing a site after a
long hiatus from web design. It's like I woke up and everything was
fixed width, but in the end, it makes sense.

My 2c.

Andrew
