Actually we /already/ have Twitter integration that is better than  
using the web API -- XMPP.

Basically all that's needed is a character counter in the IM window  
when you are talking to twitter at twitter.com, which I have half working  
in my tree.

On the topic of FB status messages, I like this idea by Evan a lot.

One thing: Isn't it more natural for an option for something like this  
to live in the Away Status window? Just a thought.
