I was starting to think the same way myself.  If you are just setting a
quick "brb" or "on the phone", 999 out of 1000 times you won't want that
going to facebook.  I also wonder about the buddy icon.  Most of my friends
(myself included) use a picture on facebook but use "something else" as a
buddy icon for IM.  I kinda feel that facebook status and icons should both
stay separate from the globals.

(Full disclosure: I have declared a personal boycott on the facebook status
message and would be sad to lose my streak because I was signed in to adium
and went to lunch... :) )
