Hello all,
I'm student in second year in SUPINFO<http://www.supinfo.com/en/Default.aspx>,
French informatic engineer school in five years. I ever had courses about
Apple, Linux, Objective-C with cocoa and C++ this year, Applescript and C
the past year. I know many others languages, but I don't think it's really
interesting on work with Adium. But if you have some questions about my
school and courses, ask me and I'll answer as soon as possible.
I discovered the GSoC yesterday and since yesterday, I read and learn a lot
about organisations and their tasks. Finally I was excited by adium for few
reasons : I know the using languages, I use Adium on mac os X for more than
1 year, and Pidgin on Debian, so I'm really interested by the libpurple !
After chatting a little on irc and reading the FAQ, I'm sure I can do
something with Adium.
I like challenging project and the voice and video chat implementation is
exciting. I know I'll have to work really more than 40 hours per week, but
it's an adventure and I'll learn so much (and I'll can do voice and video
chat after, good news lol).
If you prefer someone else who is better off than me for this project, it's
not a problem because there are many other interesting things to do for
Adium. That's why I think it will be better if I submit for another project,
like "User interface improvements for groupchat".
What could you advise me about this, dear potentials mentors ?
If you agree with me, I'll submit these 2 or 3 projects on the GSoC
Applications Student.
Hope to enter the adium's community soon.
Bests regards,
Adrien LEMAIRE,
Student of SUPINFO
