Adium already has a Debug Window in beta and SVN builds, under the  
Adium menu. It has a log of the session, which can be saved to a file.

I do like the idea of blurring contact names, but there is likely to  
be other content you want to blur, like the contents of chat windows,  
and sometimes you want to show a bug that would otherwise get blurred  
when you turn the option on.

So, I think Photoshop is the way to go -- or just sacrifice the  
privacy of your buddies and submit the snapshot regardless :-) After  
all, how many people go searching through Adium tickets looking for  
people to add to their buddy list....
