So this kinda fell on the floor.  Sorry about that.  The AIM .blt code is
viewable here:

There are several magic numbers, but I've tried to explain them in the comments.
 The comment count is a bit high, though.  I don't really remember what I was
thinking when I wrote most of this code.

I imagine you'd probably be best served by just lifting the code that's useful
to you instead of trying to incorporate the whole plugin.  There's also a ton of
other code in the plugin that's not particularly useful for Adium given that not
all protocol support is provided by libpurple.
