It's also that I *will* forget to do this and I *will* commit  
revisions as Colin Barrett <timber at lava.net>. I will probably remember  
that I did this before I push (looking at the output of hg log), and  
then I'll have to go and rewrite those revisions using transplant or  
worse, replaying revisions into a new clone, which is a pain in the  
ass.  It's happened to me before when doing mozilla stuff -- for a  
while I tried to use cbarrett at mozilla.com for my moz-related hg stuff  
and timber at lava.net for my personal stuff, but after messing up with  
new clones and losing hours to what basically amounted to vanity, I  
just gave up. It wasn't worth the effort.

Totally agree with Augie here. This is a bikeshed.

As for the whole vcs thing being a bikeshed, I think that in some ways  
you're right -- the discussion did get bikesheddy. The vcs meeting  
helped a lot with that though.
