None of that is relevant. That problem was a *crash*—like it says in  
the part you quoted. George's problem was that Adium disabled the plug- 
in.

The correct thread is the “Adium 1.3 and Plugins” where Evan  
informed us of the AIMinimumAdiumVersionRequirement key, and what  
Adium does if its missing. Specifically, it disables the plug-in.
