Err - I guess I was hoping if I pointed it out here, someone would start working on it/mention it to pidgin folks :)
And wouldn't it be... a change if Adium implemented a protocol on its own?  Maybe FB would be interested in that, getting in on the Mac users.  Just a big world of opportunities when you can mingle with such a major network/company like FB.

Adium is great because of how well it keeps up with various IM protocols.. so I was wondering if someone would like to look at the new FaceBook chat.  I was looking around at it, as it just 'showed up' today on my Facebook page.
The IM they are using is new, and not open to third-party devs yet, but Facebook is generally good about opening up their insides so developers can use their various apps, codes and protocols.  FaceBook is a massive social-network (one of the biggest, maybe the most popular right now?) - so I thought looking at the new chat would be a good idea.  I've already contacted some of their team for help with other apps and plugins for FB, and they always were nice and eager to help out.
So yeah - just wanted to point this out.  Anyone with FB should take a quick peek, and see their new chat system (I actually just found out not everyone has the chat enabled yet, but most people do by now).  I'll be the first volunteer to help out with this if needed.
(and insider info - FB should be adding in voice/video to their chat down the line, perhaps their voice/video system would be more 'friendly' and open to devs for other apps to use - but I only heard a bit about the voice/video, and it sounded like a ways off... but still, would be nice to have a voice/video that is usable)
