Confirming on unviewed content and unfinished file transfers with an  
option not to do so again is definitely the right behavior.  quitting  
is really only destructive, in general, with logging off.  How about a  
DTRT behavior:
  * Logging off: Show a confirm on quit, with an option not to show again.
  * Logging on: Hidden preference, off by default.
