I've been using the feature for a few days now. I detached two  
groups, joined them together and stuck them to the bottom left of my  
screen (the regular list is on the top left).
When someone goes online on those two groups, the list moves up  
properly, but it doesn't go down again when someone leaves. Is this  
intentional?
It's rather annoying to me, as about once per day I have to stick it  
to the bottom again.

I have those pretty frequently, but I saw those even before your code  
was merged, so I guess it's evands' fault and not yours :)
