[Adium-devl] Voice/Video and SVN?

I like being able to answer this question.

I tried to summarize it as best as I could in the blog post, but right  
now our main focus is attempting to get all of the dependencies we  
need built. Libpurple-vv requires Farsight and it's dependencies to be  
present in it's build before it will unlock the media API, and  
obviously we need that before we go any further. Right now we are very  
close to having the default Adium build working via the new build  
process, that is to say Libpurple and it's normal (non-video)  
dependencies. Once we have that, we'll move on to the video stuff,  
which hopefully will not take too long, integrate everything, and then  
begin looking at what we need to do next.

In my mind, what we'll probably do next is start writing a lot of  
bridge and UI code to support GTalk audio chat, since that's the only  
thing that has any hope of working right now. Once we've got Adium  
receiving audio from GTalk, we'll be in good shape to implement  
sending audio, polish the UI, and look at how hard it would be to do  
an alpha. I'd really like to test the code as much as possible before  
we go any further than GTalk to get an idea of things we need to  
optimize in the workflow, and considerations we'll need to have to  
implement other protocols.
