This mailing list is not the place to start this argument Duncan.  
Proteus hasn't had a coherent strategy in a while, for all intents  
and purposes it is dead. Even in your retort here the "coming-soon-or- 
maybe-not" bit explains everything. It's been mismanaged to death. No  
hard feelings or anything, but the point is that we don't have  
competition right now.
