The problem is that most of our users are plain users, who shouldn't  
be using betas. We deliberately make it moderately hard to get betas  
for this reason.

Sparkle is fed by appcasts, which are just syndication feeds. So you  
can do this by simply subscribing to the beta appcast using your feed  
reader:

<http://adiumx.com/sparkle/appcast-beta.xml>

And in case anyone has the same demented mind that I have: No, it  
doesn't work in iTunes.
