And of course, you cannot depend on the "internet-enabled" behavior 
anyway, because people can do this:

to disable it.

Ah! Ok.  I guess I was thinking the "new" dmg would just contain the 
Adium app, without all the rest, per the Google Notifier example.

Yea, keep that dialog simple!

Um, to add to the steps - maybe check to see if an older Adium is 
running, and quit it before replacing it.
