[Adium-devl] Gaining some visibility for the Summer of Code

With under a week to deadline, we have a disappointingly small number
of applications (though we have several very strong ones -- I'm no
way disparaging anyone who has applied!), and I believe this is
largely because of lack of visibility. We've mentioned it on the
blog and the forums, but I don't know how widespread readership of
either of those is... I certainly wouldn't expect extensive
readership of the forums by people both skilled in programming and
not already involved in the project.
Perhaps we could get some press from somewhere like macnn. Does
anyone think this would be a good idea? If so, a brief press release
would be a great thing to make a collaborative effort... I believe
Chris (correct me if I'm wrong :)) has a couple good contacts on the
inside who might be able to make a posting happen.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Evan
