I'm also EST and as Chris said, due to school there's no way I would ever be
able to make a morning meeting during the week.  Granted that's only for
another month, but I think in general mornings would be bad for most people.
I also don't like the idea of asking people to do it at work because of all
the companies I've interviewed with so far all have specifically mentioned
that work time is their time and ask for 100% and I just feel like that
would be putting people in a bad position since I'm sure most people would
prefer to attend if it was an option.  I could see the idea of separate
topic based meetings being useful.  If we did that I'd like to see a summary
(whether it be on the wiki or emailed to the list or whatever) just because
I'm one of those that likes to hear about what everyone else is working on.
It sounds though that topical meetings might be the best solution to the
time crisis simply by involving fewer people (theoretically) in each one.  I
agree though that this is something that definitely needs to be worked out
though simply because we don't want to create a rift with anyone involved.
