Really, the Xtras we're talking about here are mainly the Contact List
xtras (I think). Earlier, David put forth the WKMV xtras as a good
model for continued Xtra development, and I mostly agree (although
variants could be done a bit more elegantly).
How about a WebKit contact list, then? David was poking at this a bit
earlier, and it seemed like the only thing that was hairy was
alternating row color support. In general, a similar model to the
WKMV2 could be used.
Why this approach? For one, our current contact list is rather
limited. The only control over it you have is essentially a few
switches and knobs, and if you compare the diversity and creativity of
our message styles to the contact list ones, the benefits of an HTML-
based architecture are pretty clear.
How about it?
