Aside from everyone at wwdc and all the internal apple users, we'd  
like to not crash-on-launch the day the OS is released. Chris proposes  
a possible 4th solution though, which is to simply turn off the  
offending functionality when running on 10.5. Losing features  
temporarily is way way more acceptable than just not working. If  
nothing else turns up today, I will be committing that "solution"  
tomorrow.
