As Eitan recently said in his post.... maybe an option to show
"administrative" activity in a conversation (or any other name that
describes it, say "non conversational activities") could be added to
the Chat Transcript Viewer (CTV)? I see these are usually (always?)
<event type foo bar (...) /> entries, does the CTV parse/read those
to begin with? If so, a toggle button could display/hide them,
defaulting to off (and maybe the button could even be off the default
toolbar set in the CTV, therefore at least trying to stick to 1.0's
minimalist approach). Sound fair?

In any case, selecting a particular log and not having the CTV react
in any way what-so-ever (all I saw was a blank window that was
already there) is in my opinion way less than user friendly. I had to
read the log with a terminal pager and then start this thread to find
out what was going on... what about those who don't even know what
Terminal.app is? In case no toggle button is added to display
conversation "administrative activity", some kind of output should be
sent to the user when a transcript with no displayable items is
encountered, I believe.

Feel free to ping me if you'd like help to hunt this down... I'm no
Cocoa coder, but I believe I have a good reputation as a beta tester ;-)

	Regards,...
