The fact that a CIA message can go away means you shouldn't link to it.

For referring to Adium changesets, use r12345 or [12345] notation. I  
don't have strong Monotone-fu, so I'm not sure what you should use  
for Pidgin; you probably should use the long hexadecimal numbers that  
Monotone uses.
