Depends on what you're doing. I think in this case, it's all in Core  
and is just hooked up via IB. I would need to track it down to find  
out. This enhanced reporter is definitely in component territory  
though. AIMenuController has the ability to add these sorts of things  
though -- check it out. That code is not that horrible, and it's one  
of the oldest parts of Adium, iirc.

Sure, it's a 1.1 things. We should probably discuss what all 1.1 is  
going to look like in terms of extra features, and branch it sooner  
rather than later. That's one thing I think the 1.0 mess can teach us:  
Plan your release. We kind of just "hacked" on stuff and made  
improvements where we saw fit, individually. Let's plan out what tasks  
we want to get done for each specific release -- maybe we can actually  
ship, like the great artists we are at heart ;)

If someone is doing this as a starter project, it might wait until  
1.2. But again, that's just a timing thing.
