[Adium-devl] Hardware plans

Okay, so it seems that every plan we're talking about includes one
Mac Mini at least. I'm also on the side of (XServe + Mac Mini) > (a
whole bunch of Mac Minis). The time to order a Mac Mini is now, as
they've just been updated and probably won't be again for a long
time; the time to order an XServe is "sometime in the
future" (possibly within the next month, but there's no guarantee).
So (as Colin suggested a few emails ago) let's go ahead and get a
single Mac Mini (2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 160 GB Serial
ATA HD, w/ AppleCare). We'll set it up with everything we want --
buildbot, subethaedit server, etc. -- and get it up on network
redux. We will have a machine immediately rather than "sometime in
the future" and will be able to gauge what and where our requirements
are met and where/how we need/want more power.
I'll order it and have it set up on my home network with appropriate
port forwarding so that developers can access it initially. Once
we're sure that everything is the way we want it, we'll ship it to
Thomas for installation at Network Redux.
Sound good?
