No, it does not. ARD handles mixed environments with aplomb,  
degrading functionality based on the age of the agent software (i.e.,  
use 2.0 on 10.2 and you won't have 3.0 feature access.)
If you'd like to look at fragile equivalency that would be in the  
distcc strategy, which requires matching environments for OS and  
Xcode to be able to be used.
