trunk is tracking libpurple differently at the moment, because one of  
our GSoC students is working on improvements to libpurple in a  
libpurple branch, and that branch is what's being used in trunk.

The 1.1 releases are based on the 1.1 branch, which uses libpurple  
2.1.0.
