WOW!
Yes, an Xserve would be MUCH better than an equivalent number of Mac
minis.
I'm still not sure waiting for 10.5 is necessary -- I think we should
buy the hardware after the next upgrade (when that will be, who
knows). Let's cross the OS Upgrade bridge when we come to it.
