[Adium-devl] Out of process plugins (was: Distant objects)

ChatKit is indeed not active anymore, but difficulties communicating  
with the daemon (using DO) were one of the main problems with it. On  
the other hand, working with a background daemon enabled a  
"lightweight" framework (the part to which clients linked to  
contained no protocol code), a single session (account) could be  
shared across multiple clients with messages being in sync in all of  
them, presence API and shared logs where also planned. There are  
probably other things we never even thought of that are only possible  
with a central daemon that manages the actual connection, but like I  
said managing this kind of daemon adds a lot of complications.
