I like the fix, but now I get a flash of the window when it animates
to make room for the tab bar for a second tab.  That is, when I have a
window open with no tab bar shown due to only having one tab and then
open a new tab (by double-clicking someone's name on my buddy list;
this does not happen when a new message comes in and causes a tab to
open), the conversation portion of the window flashes (the toolbar
buttons do not flash) solid white for an instant before the animation
begins.

Am I the only one seeing this?  For now I'm mostly just happy that the
tab bar is properly hiding.  Thanks!  :)
