I think we should try to consider the tone of our postings,  
especially regarding how words can reflect on other projects.  You  
say "refuse to support" which makes it sounds like there is active  
opposition and perhaps a fight over these features. That is simply  
not true.  It's been stated, in discussions on this list in which you  
took part, that (1) any new capabilities, cleanly coded, could be  
added to libpurple, even if Pidgin does not make use of those  
features initially or ever and (2) both these things were not  
currently in the plans of any known Pidgin developer.  Neither of  
things point to a 'refusal to support'.

I'd like everyone to try to maintain a positive tone and careful  
consideration when posting in any capacity that reflects upon the  
rest of us on the Adium team.  I'm not trying to single you out,  
Andreas, but I felt that this comment needed addressing.
